Poem 1. Don’t depress to impress _ Georgia

The long days and lonely nights
The rude comments and ugly fights
The people who can’t shut their mouth
The daily hate that reaches heights

The disrupted happiness and pretty lies
The sadness and sorrow, the steady rise
The depression caused by people around
The happy spirit within us dies

The ego, the pride, the fame, the name
All are stuck in this stupid game
The materialistic things that never stay
All are behind the world so lame

What does the world give you in return?
All that stays is what you earn
So stop this rat race to impress
Help your family and friends in turn

The world stays, we come and go
Our luck might run to and fro
The world is a liveable place
Not a stage to put up a show
